Day trip

Mussoorie to Dhanaulti and Kempty Falls Taxi

Dhanaulti and Kempty Falls are the two most-loved day trips from Mussoorie. They sit on opposite sides of town, so a cab with a local driver is the easiest way to see one or both.

Dhanaulti

Dhanaulti lies east of Mussoorie on the road towards Chamba, through deodar forest and small villages. It is known for its eco parks, quiet walking trails and views of the snow peaks on clear days. Surkanda Devi temple is a short drive beyond Dhanaulti and can be added to the same trip.

Kempty Falls

Kempty Falls lies west of Mussoorie on the Yamunotri road. The falls are busiest in summer and on weekends, so an early start makes the visit more pleasant. Expect steps down to the pool area and plenty of small food stalls.

Doing both in one day

Because the two places are in opposite directions, covering both makes a full day. We usually suggest Kempty Falls in the morning and Dhanaulti after lunch, but we plan the order around your hotel and the weather.

In January and February, Dhanaulti can receive snow. Roads may close for a few hours after heavy snowfall; we keep you updated on WhatsApp and change plans if needed for safety.

Fares

Fares depend on the vehicle, trip type and season. Send an inquiry or message us on WhatsApp and our team confirms the final fare with you before the trip — nothing is charged automatically.
